About the course
Ladders and stepladders can be suitable for certain tasks, but their use needs to be assessed and planned. This course explains when they are appropriate, how to select and position them, and the checks needed before use.
Delegates will learn about relevant legislation, ladder components, standards and classifications, alongside the importance of safe handling, storage and maintenance.

What will delegates learn?
By the end of the course, delegates will have a better understanding of when ladders and stepladders are suitable for a task and how to position and use them safely.
They will understand how to carry out visual checks, recognise damage before and after use, and report defects so unsuitable equipment can be taken out of service.
