We provide onsite training only, bringing the course to your premises or site.

Training is matched to the equipment, the operator’s experience and the tasks they carry out. We support businesses training new starters, arranging formal training for experienced operators and refreshing existing skills.

Who is the training for?

Our courses are suitable for employees who operate forklifts, plant or specialist equipment as part of their work, including new operators and those with previous experience.

What does the training cover?

Content depends on the equipment and the operator’s experience. Relevant topics include:

  • Operator responsibilities and workplace hazards

  • Pre-use checks and reporting defects

  • Equipment controls and safe operation

  • Manoeuvring and working around pedestrians

  • Load handling and stability

  • Stacking and unstacking, where applicable

  • Safe parking and securing equipment

  • Theoretical and practical assessments

What will delegates learn?

Delegates will develop their understanding of the equipment covered by their course, its operating limits and the precautions needed for their tasks.

They will learn how to check equipment before use, recognise hazards and apply safer operating practices.
