The CITB Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) this 5 day course is designed to give delegates a comprehensive guide to site safety from the perspective of a site manager. The course is suitable for people who are currently or about to be responsible for the Management of Construction Sites. It can also be a good progression step for site supervisors.

This course aims for the operative to develop and understand their responsibilities and accountability for the management of site health, safety and welfare. To understand that a safe site is economical, efficient and productive. It allows them to manage health and safety by current legislation within their role.

State your duties and responsibilities with regards to health, safety, welfare and the environment

Who Will Benefit?
​
This course is for you if you're considering, or already have, responsibilities for planning, organising, monitoring, controlling and administering groups of staff e.g. site manager.
Certification
​
Upon successful completion of your course, you will receive a SMSTS CITB Site Safety Plus Certificate which is valid for five years. This qualification must be renewed by attending the SMSTS refresher course.

Refresher - 2 Day
​
This two day course will reinforce and update your knowledge and understanding of your legal responsibilities regarding health, safety welfare and environmental issues.
​
Candidates must take the SMSTS
Refresher course before their existing certificate expires. Otherwise the full SMSTS course will have to be taken again.
